The Agent Marketplace

Beyond the seven free bundled agents, you can browse and install premium agents from the Agentic Marketplace. These are built by third-party developers and the Agentic Plugin community for specific use cases — WooCommerce automation, real estate management, restaurant operations, and more.

How It Works

  1. Browse the marketplace to find agents that match your needs
  2. Purchase and download the agent ZIP file (some agents are free)
  3. Upload through Agent Builder → Installed Agents → Upload
  4. Activate the agent — it is immediately available in your dashboard

What’s Available in the Marketplace

The marketplace currently hosts agents across these categories:

  • Content & SEO — Content Writer, SEO Assistant, Blog Post Generator. These agents specialise in creating and optimising WordPress content, writing meta descriptions, generating post outlines, and improving readability scores.
  • E-commerce — WooCommerce Assistant, Product Description Writer, Cart Recovery Agent. Built specifically for online stores, these agents can read and write product data, manage inventory, respond to reviews, and generate marketing copy for products.
  • Site Management — Site Doctor, Site Auditor, Theme Assistant, Plugin Assistant. These agents diagnose WordPress health issues, check for outdated plugins, audit performance, and recommend configuration improvements.
  • Security — Security Assistant, AI Radar. Monitor for suspicious activity, review user accounts, check file integrity, and get alerts for security anomalies without leaving the WordPress admin.
  • Media — Media Assistant, Video Assistant. Manage your media library, generate alt text for images, rename files for SEO, and organise uploads by date or category.
  • Training & Custom — Assistant Trainer. Build a fully custom AI assistant trained on your own documentation, FAQs, or product knowledge base — without writing a line of code.

Choosing the Right Agent

Each marketplace listing includes a description, a list of tools the agent can use, user ratings, and a changelog. Before purchasing, check:

  • Compatibility — The listing shows the minimum Agent Builder version and WordPress version required. Check these against Site Health → Info → Agent Builder.
  • Tools used — If an agent uses database write tools or file system tools, it has higher privileges. Review what it can do before activating on a production site.
  • Premium vs free — Free marketplace agents are fully functional with no feature restrictions. Premium agents may require an API licence key from the agent’s developer, separate from your Agent Builder licence.

License Required

To install marketplace agents you need an active Agent Builder plugin licence. The free plugin includes only the bundled agents, but you can also create unlimited custom agents using the Assistant Trainer. See Pricing for licence options.

Keeping Marketplace Agents Updated

Marketplace agents that have an active update licence push version updates through the standard WordPress update mechanism. You will see update notifications in Plugins → Installed Plugins the same as any other plugin. Agents without an active licence can be manually updated by downloading the latest ZIP from the marketplace and re-uploading it through Installed Agents → Upload — this upgrades in place without losing your configuration.

Quality & Safety

Every marketplace agent is reviewed before being listed. We check for code quality and WordPress coding standards compliance, accurate descriptions and functionality that matches claims, no malicious or misleading behaviour, and proper handling of user data. Agents that fail review are rejected with feedback to the developer before they appear in the marketplace. See the Developer Guidelines for the full review criteria.

For Developers

Want to build and sell your own agents? Read the Developer Guidelines for technical requirements, then submit your agent for review. Approved agents are listed in the marketplace and eligible for revenue sharing. You retain full ownership of your agent’s code.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use marketplace agents on multiple sites?

This depends on the individual agent’s licence terms set by the developer. Some agents are licensed per site, others per developer account. Check the licence terms on the marketplace listing before purchase. Your Agent Builder licence (Personal or Agency) controls how many sites you can use the core plugin on — it does not automatically extend to marketplace agent licences.

What happens if a marketplace agent developer stops maintaining it?

Marketplace agents that are abandoned or incompatible with current versions of Agent Builder are marked as deprecated in the marketplace. Existing installations continue to function unless a breaking API change is introduced. We maintain a compatibility layer for one major version cycle. If an agent becomes critically insecure, we reserve the right to push a disabling update and notify site owners.

Can I install a marketplace agent on a staging site for testing?

Yes. Staging and development environments are typically exempt from licence counts. If you use a staging site that is a direct clone of your production site (same domain with a staging subdomain), it counts against the same licence slot. If it is on a separate domain, it uses one additional licence slot. Contact the agent developer if you need clarification on their specific staging policy.

Are there free agents in the marketplace?

Yes. Several agents in the marketplace are free to download and use with no licence fee. Free agents go through the same review process as premium agents. You can filter by price in the marketplace browse view. Note that even free marketplace agents require an active Agent Builder plugin licence to install — the free tier of the plugin only includes the seven bundled agents.

How is a marketplace agent different from a bundled agent?

Bundled agents ship with Agent Builder and are maintained by Agentic. They cover general-purpose use cases: content writing, SEO, security, site health, and media management. Marketplace agents are built by third-party developers for specific verticals or workflows — a WooCommerce agent, a restaurant booking agent, a real estate listing agent. Marketplace agents can be more specialised and opinionated because they target a narrower use case.
